Looking for something new to do in high school? Join PALs! Students apply as a sophomore, and juniors and seniors can be in PALs.

Students must go to the first informational meeting and listen to the information provided. After the meeting, applicants are required to create an “All About Me” folder and or binder to persuade why he or she should be in the class. The folder includes pictures decorated through the front and back. Inside includes the student’s grade book, the application typed and answered, and a written essay.

Senior Alexandra Silver has been in PALs for one year and has really loved her experience.

“Being a PAL has been a great experience for me, because it’s all about making the kids smile,” Silver said.

In PALs students can learn something new everyday either from a teacher or a little girl. Students can make an special bond between his or herself and his or her pal.

“It’s about the kids, not you,” Tosch said.
