The girls varsity basketball team continue playing district, as they played Victoria West with a score of 37-38.

Senior Hanna Brock scored 15 points and had 3 rebounds. Freshmen Alicia Blanton and Collins Clark combined to add 12 points to the score.

“This game was heartbreaking; losing the game at such a close game,” Brock said. “Especially considering we lost our first place spot in district, but we believe that they are going to lose against Victoria East, so we will have a chance to be 1st again.”

After the Victoria West game, the girl’s varsity basketball team defeated Calhoun with the score of 39-35.

Junior Micayla Hamilton scored 21 points and 3 rebounds. Freshman Alicia Blanton came through once again adding 12 points to the score.

“Friday is going to be a big game for us,” Hamilton said. “Terry is already out of playoffs, which means they’re going to play hard since they have nothing to lose. If we come ready to play, then we’ll finish with another win.”

The next game for the Lady Falcons is against the Terry Lady Rangers at Terry High School on Friday, January 26 at 6:30 p.m.
